Editorial Policy

    The Publishers of Journal of the Print World have established the periodical to bring information of the print world to the collector, buyer, and seller concerning all forms of original prints. Information concerning sales, auctions, galleries, shows, mail order catalogues, antique shops selling prints, and museum and library shows has not been readily available in these areas.

    Many print collectors for geographical or financial reasons do not have a ready source of information. Constant buyers have access to information concerning the print world; this information should be made available to all and it should originate from the best possible sources. It should not be necessary to purchase a print in order to learn about print collecting.

    The Editor requests that Journal of the Print World be notified of shows and sales so that the reading public may be informed. Galleries holding a number of prints of an artist are requested to contact the Editor concerning a future article. Museums and libraries planning displays are requested by the Editor to forward information for publication. Publishing companies releasing a new text, dealers issuing price lists, and dealers publishing catalogues are requested to mail a copy to the Editor for review and publication. Serious articles concerning any phase of the printmaking world will be reviewed by the Editor for publication.

    Journal of the Print World reserves the right to reject and edit all communications for publication.

    Journal of the Print World is a magazine in newsprint covering the appreciation of 6 centuries of rare prints.
